The Italian-made Pelican-style case houses one of the newest and safest batteries on the market today; LifeP04 batteries have over 2000 charge/discharge cycles and unlike lithium batteries they are absolutely safe and non-flammable. The internal circuit protects against short circuits and electrical overloads and guarantees a stable 12v current (at full load 13.2v widely supported by all electronic equipment) and a power of 42 Ah! With this Powertank, it is possible to power the ccd camera, the mount, various accessories (focuser, filter wheel, rotator etc.) and even a small laptop or ASI AIR, all night long! The version we offer has two 12 v outlets with quality cigarette lighter plug, two 2.1 ah USB charging ports, display with charge and voltage indication, safety fuse and plug input for charging. A 14.6 v 3 Ah power supply is included in the price. At the request of the customer, it is possible to add or modify the power supply outputs.
This version also includes an output voltage regulator mounted outside the battery. The output voltage can be adjusted and stabilized between 10 and 15 v DC.
